Born Nov 9 1891 in Mullens, Wyoming County, WV.
Son of Garrett Parasol and Miami Arthur Whitt.

On May 23 1939 @ 12:00Pm a piece of draw slate fell on him. He was taken to 
Beckly Hospital where he died on june 28 1939 @ 1:00pm at the age of 48.
He is buried in Bud cemetery within the fenced Whitt's Tomb.

Alva worked in Raileigh county for Amigo coal co. in the Amigo mine. The 
accident happened in Room #31.
Alva had 27 years experience with an A-1 Classification
